The development of engine technology toward lighter-weight and more efficient aluminum engines is also leading to special requirements in terms of coolants. OAT and/or Si-OAT products offer comprehensive protection throughout the entire cooling system by means of a specially aligned inhibitor system. The inhibitors contained in our FROSTOX® products ensure optimum corrosion protection for nonferrous, light and ferrous metals. Our high-quality coolant additives coat the various components of a cooling system (metals, elastomers and plastics) with a thin but very robust layer and reliably protect against corrosion, overheating and frost.
The underlying Si-OAT corrosion protection technology contains no monocarboxylic acids and fulfils the requirements of state-of-the-art high-performance engines in terms of thermal stress, long-term stability, and long-term corrosion protection in a specialmanner.
FROSTOX® HT12® contains no nitrites, amines, phosphates, molybdates, or borates. The high levels of silicate stability and tolerance with respect to flux residues are particular highlights.

FROSTOX® HT12® DI is an environmentally-friendly break-in and corrosion protection agent for combustion engines on the basis of ethane-1,2-diol, which is formulated with so-called Si-OAT corrosion protection technology. This corrosion inhibitor system combines modern, carboxylic acid based corrosion inhibitor technology with the advantages of silicate antifreezes.

Premium antifreeze concentrate on the basis of renewable raw materials
FROSTOX® HT12 eco is an advanced premium antifreeze concentrate in the FROSTOX® series based on renewable monoethylene glycols (bMEGs). Renewable glycols are made of certified wood which is also regionally produced in Germany. They are completely recyclable, sustainable, CO2-optimized and have the same performance characteristics as synthetic glycols. HAERTOL uses glycols from UPM Biochemicals, which are exclusively regionally produced within Germany. The future biorefinery, a worldwide first at the chemicals site of Leuna, is only 122 km away from the HAERTOL plant. This guarantees you maximum security of supply as well as a seamlessly documented product chain.
